what we eat

these illustrations belong to my illustrated book called "what we eat". it tells the story of a taiwanese family that moves to são paulo, brazil. upon arriving, they have to adapt and survive in an etirely different culture. all these stories are told through food - which carries a lot of meaning in the taiwanese/chinese culture, where people often don't use words to express themselves.
